I can't stop listening to this CD. Absolutely amazing. The best yet from BBB. SEE THEM IN CONCERT! One of the best live-bands on the planet.

5more mature and great  Nov 18, 2010
By Adam Harrison "adsee"
When i first discovered BBB not long after the first cd I was really happy. I had been listening to Electric Gypsyland series and also the bucovina club 2 cd's but this was not a compilation cd, it was someone actually playing this music as their style. Their second cd, Nu med was a little disappointing and relied too heavily on electronics (only 3 stars). Blue Eyed Black boy has changed the style again but its a better mix and the song writing more mature with deeper (and left wing political) lyrics. My favourite song so far this year (and its November 2011) is Dancing With The Moon. This song just rocks. My kids - 2 girls under 10 repeatedly ask to hear MY BABY, another great song and WAR AGAIN even has a film clip on You tube with a great horn section that you can jump around to.

I think all BBB is worth having if you like this Gypsy funk fusion style of music. This is a 5 star cd for me. I hope these guys will tour Australia... :). I also recommend Shantel, Gogol Bodello and Figli di Madre Ignota.

4Very pleasantly surprised!  Sep 24, 2010

Only heard one song (Dancing With The Moon) prior to buying this album. I would say that Dancing With The Moon was definitely one of the high points of the album, but overall I was pleasantly surprised by this album. Great mix of songs with different influences and cultures. Some songs are more electronic, some more ska-like, some more Caribbean, etc...

Great to see some ex-Gogol Bordello members branching out with some good stuff. I can't wait for some more!

High Points:
#1 Dancing With The Moon
#2 My Baby
#3 War Again

5Highly recommend  Jun 23, 2010

So a few songs are definitely geared to be a little more accessible to mainstream than others. I actually think it works within the album though as these guys need to push into people's ears anyway possible. I think this is my favorite album of theirs to date and I can't stop playing this CD. I think there still is some divide with Westerners feeling comfortable with anything with an Middle Eastern influence, but if anyone can open their tastes it's these guys. For $5 on Amazon, how can you possibly go wrong and not buy this album.

The only way I can categorize their sound is a sum that is greater than the parts.

4worth it  Jun 16, 2010

The last 8-9 songs on this CD are so good, and so good in sequence, that I listened to them 3 times in a row. I know BBB wants to branch out, experiment, and some of the early songs are duds, but what they do best- that mix of raucous klezmer, danceable gypsy and house techno- it's so much more than that, but how do you categorize this stuff- is SPECTACULAR. Smatron and War Again alone are worth the price. Infectious. Thrilling music.
