Bruce Haack for toddlers. Oct 24, 2010
By A. Thorne My introduction to the world of Sing-a-majigs this afternoon. I was buying something completely non-related for my two year-old. It caught my eye on account of the mouth looking exactly like a ponytail holder from the 80s. So, of course, I had to pick it up and see what it did, on account of the garish absurdity of it. 10 minutes later I am still standing in the middle of the store like an idiot making these things sing together. Needless to say, one came home with me, because it makes me smile. I loved that they all had different personalities in terms of looks AND voice. It makes getting numerous colors more meaningful.
The best part? His little hilarious teeth while he sings. And the fact that it sounds like 60'-70's experimental musician Bruce Haack (which is topical, sort of...he used to show up on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood) when he sings in harmony mode. They all have different voices. This one's voice is between the deepest (the mint green one) and the blue one. Pink seems to be the most shrill.
The ONLY downside I can think about these little guys is that after excessive playing, the terrycloth/chenille hybrid body mattes easily, and the fabric also pills easily. Well, that and the danger of aggravating your carpal-tunnel syndrome if you have it. The mechanism seems nice and sturdy, though.
Note, we've only had ours for 4 hours of this review. And the only people in this house are over 30.
In a nutshell, fun for kids of all ages. Fun to chase your cats with, fun to annoy your friends with. Just don't expect it to look nice forever.
The red one will be joining us soon.

fun for everyone Sep 04, 2010

all of these are great, but yellow is the cutest. We all want to play with the sing a ma things at our house and we're not even big toy purchasers. My son and I saw these at the store and automatically fell in love with them. Another woman passed by us and saw how much fun we were having and had to buy one for her grandson. I think they may be laced with narcotics they're so addictive and fun. Go to target, they're currently only 12.99 each. i dont know why amazon has hiked up the prices on certain colors. We bought one for each of our boys and one for their best friend. I can't believe we've all gone so crazy over a toy. I laugh every time we play with them.

IT MAKES YOU SMILE NO MATTER YOUR AGE Jul 03, 2010
By Margaux Paschke I know this adorable little bunny is meant for babies but I couldn't resist. When I saw them at a store, I was thinking present for a two year old. You press the tummy and it makes a funny sound. I found myself still playing with it 2 minutes later. I couldn't stop smiling.
There are 4 different types of Sing-A-Ma-Jigs: this yellow bunny, a blue dog, a red bear and a pink bear. They all make different sounds. This one was a favorite. It makes funny variations of "aahh" and "oohhh." The mouth moves when it speaks. When you stop pressing it's tummy, after a while you hear a "see you later."
This yellow bunny is adorable from it's lopsided ears to the sounds it makes. I know this is a toy for toddlers but it would make anyone smile. This would also make a great novelty gift to brighten up someone's cubicle. Even older kids find this toy irresistible.

Yellow Sing-A-Ma-Jig Oct 30, 2010
By More than just the girl next door I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old granddaughter, "G". It is definitely a gift that a child loves. "G" barely puts it down.. "Yellow" sings his little song and makes sounds that are atractive to a child, (but maybe a bit annoying for the adults..) However, I couldn't put it down when I first got it. The trick is to have more than one, they come in a variey of colors...Their little "voices" will harmonize when you play with them together... Really cute... A must have

Cute but not that cute Sep 28, 2010
By JMO We saw these in the store and heard they'd be the Christmas craze of 2010. So we purchased all four! We played w/ them in the store and kind of found them to be quite comical just the way they sounded. But we could not get them to harmonize very well. And everytime we tried they'd shut off. I like that they quickly turn themselves off but it's literally like within 3 seconds of idle time! It was so hard to get them all going. I found for the money they're cute for the little one's but for the overall enjoyment they were kind of annoying! I really hope people don't go crazy with this toy this Christmas if they can't find it. All you have to do is remember the Zhu Zhu Craze of 2009 and remember, that this too shall pass :)
