Cute But Not UV Activated Sep 07, 2010
By Janis Hughes I specifically ordered the UV activated beach Silly Bandz, but when they arrived they were the regular ones and not UV activated. I just kept them because the shapes are really cute especially the palm trees and surfers. They're good quality and don't feel like they'll break any time soon.
Love these :) Jul 13, 2011
By Sam G. I am 20(don't judge hah), but enjoy the little kid fun things occasionally. I do not collect silly bandz, I just liked that these changed color in UV light & there is a palm tree(I'm a sucker for anything beachy). The palm tree & surfer is not green as shown, It is clear & turns purple in the UV light. I believe the rest of the bands are the colors as shown. I only really wore the palm trees. It's sad though because they broke & they stopped changing color after being exposed to UV light after a couple times, but what do you expect for little rubber bands like this. I like that these a simple yet fun & don't look too tacky if wearing just a few.
Great for kids Feb 05, 2011
By Mike K I bought these bandz for my 2 nieces (ages 3 and 6) and they love them. They had a bunch of bands already but didn't have these shapes. They love playing with them. One thing they like to do is put as many as they can on their wrists. They also like trading them with friends. There are 6 shapes: Message in a Bottle, Surfer, Crab, Seashell, Palm Tree, Sail Boat.
Silly Bandz Beach Shapes UV Activated Rubber Bands Nov 21, 2010
By B. Westcott I bought these rubber bands as a present for my grandson's 7th birthday. He loves them and trades with other kids. A month earlier I had sent him a couple of packages of bands after researching how popular they are. Apparently at that time, they had not hit his school yet and I received a phone call from him - my daughter made him call to say thank you. His side of the conversation: " (clearly disappointed) Thank you Nana. (then VERY whiny) But Nana, WHY rubber bands?!? I want a BIG present!" Now he has all kinds of rubber band bracelets and even rings. The UV bands take awhile to change color and are more bland colors than the bright ones on the package. Are they worth it? I think so, yes. Just get them while they're still hot with the kids!
